Real Milk


I took this gallon of milk out of the fridge this morning to make yogurt and was in awe of the amount of cream that had rose to the top.

Good, raw, Jersey milk. Nothing better for making butter, whipped cream, yogurt and gravey.

  1. Oh that looks so familiar. Mama saved the cream and made butter. I have the old butter churn and memories of how long it took sometimes before the butter "came". Many women saved cream and sold it. Daddy worked on Saturdays at what was called, the cream station, where women brought their cream in big cream cans. Do you remember any of this?
