Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today
September 28, 2011

Outside my window...Beautiful September morning. The birds and sings and I can hear the crickets.

I am thinking...of the day ahead.

I am thankful for...the sweet/cute/funny things little children say.

From the learning rooms....Only one child to do book work with today. Most of the boys are working with dad today.

From the kitchen....Need to make yogurt. Chili for supper.

I am excited...about a knitting group I visited last week.

I am wearing...girly camo tiered skirt, pink shirt, socks and sneakers

I am creating...aprons, dolls and doll clothes. 2 new dolls and this next upload will include some 15-16" doll clothes.

I am going...to wash laundry today, knit and work on a pattern for doll clothes.

I am reading...my bible and a knitting book I checked out of the library.

I am hoping...to lose some weight.

I am hearing...the crickets outside. They are loud this morning.

Things I want to accomplish today...school, knitting for a dolly, laundry finished, and hopefully a nap will be tucked in there somewhere.

Around the house...it looks pretty good. It needs a little attention here and those things will get attention.

One of my favorite things...Little girls with long hair.

A few plans for the rest of the week...knitting, dolls, school, and cleaning my sewing area!

A picture thought I am sharing...Silas, my youngest child. He is such a little man.
My daughter, Autumn took the picture.

For Today
August 24, 2011

Outside my window...just starting to get light.

I am thinking...that I need to call the well man. My well isn't working.

I am thankful for...grace, mercy and the promises of God.

From the learning rooms....We started back to school this week. Yippee!

From the kitchen....tuna casserole for supper tonight.

I am excited...about my daughter having a baby in Feb.

I am wearing...blue t shirt and khaki skirt. Must put on shoes.

I am creating...aprons

I am going...to church tonight and I have to also go to the store at some point this week.

I am reading...Big Smoke Mountain by Lewis B. Miller, aloud to my children.

I am hoping...the well man shows up early.

I am hearing...a very quiet house with the hum of a fan.

Things I want to accomplish today...school, laundry and possible put a couple of dolls together.

Around the house...the yard needs mowed.

One of my favorite things...holding my grand babies.

A few plans for the rest of the week...school, laundry, dolls and cleaning up my sewing area.

A picture thought I am sharing...Some of the counselors down at Camp Joy. My husband is the one in the big white bib. They played the ketchup game. A gross game involving blindfolded campers, counselors laying on the ground with a cup taped to their forehead and a big bottle of ketchup. Hence the bib and the sunglasses.

Get Livia working on knitting the sleeves on her doll dress. Work on training my younger children with some issues we are having.

Around the house...my bathroom needs cleaned. Other than picking up and putting away it looks pretty good in here.

One of my favorite things...when Silas askes me to tell him a story. His expressions are so cute. He really listens and I can see his expressions changing with what I'm saying. Fun!

A few plans for the rest of the week...finish up dolls and make a few doll outfits. Work on training issues. Clean my bathroom. Go shopping...bleh! Clean out my knitting basket.
